I firstly would like to thank the committee of the Yorkshire Bull Terrier club for asking me to come and judge there first show of the 2023 season, such a great well-run show thank you for making me feel so welcome and having the great support from everyone involved. Secondly to all who entered their dogs under me and for making the trip down to show or to spectate, means a lot to me so a massive thank you and congratulations to all the winners and best of luck on your future outings.

1st KENZDUO BLACK BEAN (MISS JENNY THOMAS)
A striking young black brindle and white pup, who has some maturing to do but what’s there is very promising. He has a beautiful long classic looking head with nice turn and finish, his expression is superb punishing eyes with neat well set ears to be picking id like a little more power to his muzzle but still very much a pup, nice long neck thick and strong leading to well-placed shoulders, superb straight front and neat feet, just needs to come up on those pasterns a touch, well bodied young dog with a strong rib, compacted bodylines at a correct length for his size, well-muscled quarters which he used well on the move, covered the mat well for a pup with good drive and parallel front and back. He just needs time to fill his frame and mature, presented in good condition and handled well. RBD

1st ABGAR THE GYPSY KING WITH VATAHA (MISS A BARTKOWIAK)
Well-marked brindle and white, a very nice young dog, head is well turned smooth and filled with a good eye and neat ears, good strong neck leading to well laid shoulders and a straight front complete with neat feet, a good length in body with a nice strong topline which he holds well on the move, his outline is compact and well bodied, he moves well both ways, like the puppy still very much a youngster and time needed to fill the gaps to become the finished article, very promising, put down in good condition and well handled.

1st VETSBULLIES LONG AWAY (MR & MRS J & F HORTON)
White male with eye marking, nice headed male with a good eye and well placed ears, just needs a little more fill under the eye, good length of neck leading to well-placed shoulders, super front straight with cat like feet, enough bone for his size, correct length to height, level topline which he holds well when moving, his movement is ok both parallel back and front, just needs that move power and drive when striding out, all round nice dog, well handled.

1st MOCHARABULL HES EVERYTHING (MISS J CLEMENTS)
A black brindle and white solid well-built male with a pleasing head well-turned just needed a little extra power in the muzzle, his expression is good eyes and ears are well placed and neat, good well laid shoulders with a good straight front with good bone and neat tight feet, short backed making a good square solid frame, movement was good moving parallel back and front with good drive and striding out well.
2nd BLAZINBULLYS WHITE WARRIOR (MR M D HIRD)
White with head markings, a classical head long and nicely turned, well placed eye giving good expression, would like his ears placed slightly more on top to complete the picture head on, good long neck leading to well-placed shoulders and a good front with nice neat feet, a little long casted on body but holds and carries his topline well on the move, just needs that power to ground when coving the mat, moves parallel both front and back, nicely handled.

My best dog of the day, a tall upstanding white with ear markings. A long classical egg shaped head with a good eye giving a keen expression, would just like his ears slightly more on top to complete the front shot, but neither the less a very good head, his neck is long and strong leading to well placed shoulders, super straight front and neat feet, for such a tall upstanding dog he carries his topline well, good round rib and well built strong backend with well-turned stifles, his movement is very good strides out well and is super parallel coming and going just want a little more drive in his movement to complete the picture, a very well put together male in great condition and handled very well, good luck in this boys show career congrats. BD
2nd GORBAIN PERFECT STORM BARNESMORE (MISS & MR S E & R L THOMPSON & WOODWARD)
White dog with head markings, smaller more compact than the winner, his head is well turned with a very good eyes and ears giving a keen expression just needs that bit more under the eyes to complete the picture, strong well-built neck leading to good round shoulders, good front and neat feet, correct length in body, well-built backend, moved better going than coming, strides out while on the move holding his topline well. Handled very well in good condition.

Heavyweight white girl with eye marking in superb gleaming condition, a super strong girl, beautiful strong head with good expression, good strong shoulders resting on a super straight front with so much bone and super neat tight feet, good length of back and moves very well for an older gal, a bitch I feel you don’t see much of this type anymore and it is needed, a credit to her owner presented in super condition congrats a real beauty.

My winner of the day and what a gem she is, a super stunning small typey white bitch of so much quality and what a show girl. Her head is beautifully turned and filled with stunning eyes and ears giving her a show stopping expression, a beautiful long elegant neck leading to well laid shoulders and a solid straight front and cat like feet, her front shot is that to be aimed for, a super picture of elegance and power. From the side she is short coupled with a good strong backend that drives well on the move, she has that classical jaunty movement parallel back and front with good drive and purpose, shown in superb condition very well handled, can see a great future for this young girl good luck she is a stunner. 2nd JASJAK TYGRR LILY WITH SERENBULL (MRS A LAIDLAW)
Another stunning girl really like this superb young lady, a beautiful well marked red and white, small in stature but full of bone for her size, her head is beautifully elegant, well-turned and filled right up with a super expression having well placed eyes and neat ears, her neck is strong but without loosing that elegance, leading to well rounded shoulders that are well placed, her front is straight with neat tight feet, her outline is neat and compact with a good strong backend and well bent stifles, moved well both going and coming, nicely parallel and with good drive, put out in top condition, another young lady to watch out for as she matures.

Red and white girl, super well balanced lady, head is good with a superb expression, just needs a touch more turn and fill in the muzzle, super neck leading to well-placed shoulders , good straight front and neat feet, front the side her make and shape is well balanced, moves well both ways, well handled and presented.

Beautiful white girl with black head markings, beautiful, elegant headpiece with good length and turn, well filled muzzle, neat ears and keen eyes giving a good look at me expression, nice long neck well-muscled without losing elegance, well placed shoulders, a neat straight front with nice feet, from the side she’s well coupled with a good backend strong and drives well when moving, movement is good both coming and going. Well-handled and presented.

White bitch with red head markings, beautiful feminine head with very nice tiny eyes giving a super expression, her head is well filled with good turn, elegant neck with well placed shoulders, id like a touch more length in her forearm to balance her out more, nice straight front, well compact body, moved well both ways, handled and presented well.

Well-marked brindle and white girl, well-built bodylines with good solid bone, beautiful head smoothly well turned and filled with a good expression, long elegant neck leading to go shoulders on a super straight front, neat feet, slightly long casted but holds her topline well, good strong back end, moved well both ways, well present and handled.
2nd ORBAL HOT ENOUGH (MRS G L MACHIN)
Beautiful feminine tri girl, beautifully headed with turn and filled right up, nice eyes and ears, nice length of neck, shoulders are well rounded just need them to sit a little further back, straight front with good neat tight feet, strong level topline well sprung rib, would like a touch better angulation in the backend a little straight in stifle, moved well both ways, presented and handled well.

1st QUENTINHILL ROYAL EYENESS (MS JOANNA SZEWCZYK)
A bitch I have admired from ringside for a while and she didn’t disappoint. Super terrier type white girl with the best front on expression of the day by far, head is nicely turned and filled right up, her eyes are piercing with super neat well-placed ears, without doubt in my opinion this is an expression to be aimed for. Stunning. Long elegant neck leading to well-muscled shoulders and a super straight front complete with tight neat cat like feet, from the side her only let down is her shoulder placement being slightly upright, good length in body, strong well-rounded rib, her backend is strong and well angulated which she uses well when driving down the mat, her movement is better coming than going but strides and covers the ground well. Super showy girl who was in superb condition, well handled, my res best bitch and res best in show beating the male on her superb type, expression and that look at me showmanship. White bitch with eye marking, beautiful headed girl turned and filled right up, keen eyes and neat ears giving a good expression, long elegant neck leading to well rounded shoulders, superb front with tight neat feet, from the side she is super short coupled just needs a touch more bone throughout, nice square frame, moving well both ways, presented in super white condition and handled very well.
