2018 CRUFTS CH Dominic CLARK 1st-LD
Imposing and upstanding red and white, I describe as ‘burnished copper’ enjoying his day and making the best of himself. Lovely head with arc, wide and well-turned – incisors correct, canine a bit tight but not instanding. Well balanced with good bone and substance. Good front, right foot just toeing out a little. Tail a bit high-set and topline slips a little when not on his toes.

Large upstanding solid red dog. Powerful head with good turn and finish. Misplaced tooth. Lovely reach of neck and straight front with neat feet. Prefer more angulation behind. Lacks drive on the move. Super showman.

Upstanding solid red boy, lovely egg shaped head with a correct mouth and ears on top. He also has a good eye. Lovely conformation which lead him to move well both ways. Well handled and in great condition  RBD

Solid red large upstanding male. A big heavy weight typy dog. Ears bang on top, lovely head with turn and fill and perfect mouth. Flowing bodylines and moved well. Tail placement could be better but this does not effect the overall picture.  BD

Good sized solid red. Head has a sweeping profile with good fill. Well placed eyes and ears give a good expression. Mouth has a tight canine. Straight front with good bone, deep powerful body with good spring of rib. Moved well. RDCC

At first glance this upstanding and attractive solid red dog was my class winner. Masculine with a lovely head in profile and a correct mouth, although I’d prefer more width and fill to complete the picture. Started off bang up on his toes and presented a lovely picture and was holding his topline, although the tail is rather high set, sadly as 1st. Perked up, this lad started to sag in the heat and he was also pointing ‘downhill’ which spoilt his topline. After being placed he perked up nicely and pulled it back together – something for his handler to watch out for in future. Great condition and super bone and substance.

Large upstanding solid red , sounder than my winner , and strongly built, with beautiful round bone. He has a long head with ears pointing straight upward, gently turned profile but has a mouth fault. He is a little high in the rear accentuating his happy tail carriage.
