I would like to thank the committee of the South Eastern Counties Bull Terrier Club for inviting me to judge their 2018 Championship Show and giving me the opportunity to award my first set of tickets. Thank you for all the messages of encouragement, both before and after the show. And thank you for a good entry from the competitors; the overall quality of the dogs on show was first class – animals were, for the most, fit and in excellent condition. Mouths were generally good with very few examples of incorrect mouths or in-standing canines.

Heavy, upstanding white dog with brindle eye mark. Shown in great condition for his 7.5 years. Strong profile, filled right up with a wicked expression. Strong fore-chest with good round bone, shapely well developed quarters – moved well. He looked like he enjoyed his outing. BVIS
2nd LARONBELLE'S MAGIC VISIONS (MR & MRS A & A TWYMAN)
Another strong upstanding white dog. Not quite the head of 1st, but nevertheless, a very fit and well made, balanced dog. Moved well when he got into his stride, although a little close behind.

11 months. Compact and typy brindle and white boy. Powerful head with lots of fill for a youngster. Well placed ears with a very keen eye. Good reach of neck, good body lines with enough bone. Rich coloured coat in lovely condition, still to mature. Moved well although a little close at the rear. BP

11 months. Powerful, upstanding, well marked black brindle and white dog. Different type from 1st. Long gentle profile, with enough power, mouth good. Well placed ears, into a good reach of neck. Lots of bone, firm topline, strong, well angulated rear with powerful hocks. Lovely tight feet. Moved well although a little loose. Shown and handled well.

18 months. Young white dog with head marks. Although he lacks maturity, you can’t deny his virtues; long strong head, powerful muzzle with lots of fill. Well placed ears, although a little soft. Mouth good. Well made and balanced throughout, good round bone, straight front, well angulated rear with lovely tight feet. Moved well after a fashion, he took a while to settle.
2nd OLYMPUSBULYS THOREN LUCK (MR J HARPER)
16 months. Very powerful white dog, different type from 1st. Strong head, filled and turned. Great expression. Mouth incorrect. Lots of bone and substance with maximum scale. Appears a little stuffy in the neck and loses his topline on the move, although he moves freely and with energy.

Eye catching 2 year old, powerful black brindle and white dog, very up on the leg. Strong head, well filled and turned. Well placed ears with a wicked expression. Mouth just off. Lots of bone, straight front with well sprung ribs. Would have liked a little more strength in his hinds and his feet are a little untidy. Powered up the mat, reaching out and covering the ground. Shown and handled well.
2nd BILBOEN GREAT DRAGONS SPY (MISS & MR S & M FOSTER & BICKER)
At 23 months, another quality dog, different type from 1st, more compact. Strong powerful head, good expression with lots of fill. Mouth good. Ears well placed, good reach of neck with a nicely placed shoulder. Level topline and a well angulated rear. Good bone, moved well.

Neat well placed ears, good bodylines with lovely angulation, very neat feet. A very well made dog, but for me I would like a little bit more of him. Moved well and with drive.

A very understated, yet powerful dog. Gleaming tricolour coat, powerful head, filled right up, with a depth of muzzle rarely seen. Neat well placed ears, small eye with an active expression. Mouth just off. Strong, yet elegant neck, well placed shoulders into a level topline. Well sprung ribs, with a real depth of brisket. Powerful hinds, showing a clear second thigh. Moved steady and with drive, covering the ground with real confidence. Shown and handled to perfection. It was a pleasure to award him his third CC. DCC BIS

A more animated Terrier type from 1st. Gleaming white dog, head long and strong with a wicked expression with neat, erect, well placed ears. Mouth just off. Lovely reach of neck, level topline, enough bone with strong, well angulated rear. Shown in really fit condition, well muscled with tight cat-like feet. Moved at speed and with power, watching his handlers every instruction. Shown and handled well. Another lovely quality dog, happy to award him the reserve CC. RDCC
