Many thanks to the Club for this invitation. 17 forward on the day out of an entry of 33, which given the location and current downward trend in entries I was quite pleased with. The quality was evident regardless of the number forward and I was delighted with my winners. Many thanks to my stewards and the committee for their help and warm welcome and the exhibitors for allowing me to go over their lovely dogs.

1st IRAZISTABULL STAR OF VULCAN (MR & MISS D P & S MCDONAGH & MCLEISH)
11 months white. Quality and typey young dog. Super head with good profile and fill. Excellent eye and expression with ears on top. Correct mouth. Balanced outline with short back, good fore chest, correct front and rear angulation. Tight feet. Needs to tighten in front to improve on the stand but moved straight both ways. I liked him very much and pushed hard in the challenge and only lost out to maturity on the day. Should do well. BP

1st INVERSU SOLO HURRICAN (MR & MRS M & S CHAPMAN)
13 months white. My star of the day and loved him the moment he walked in. That rare beast, a quality heavyweight with superb bone right down to his feet which you can only really appreciate in the flesh as he is so well balanced. Presented fabulous picture on the stand with sweeping body lines, gun-barrel front, good lay of shoulder and correct rear angulation which showed in his excellent movement. Absolutely foursquare, short backed, correct tail set. Fabulous head with unbroken profile, loads of fill and power. Ears right on top with piercing expression and a correct mouth to boot! One I expect to be making the headlines very soon and delighted to have the opportunity to go over him. BD BIS
2nd BRINIKKA BULLET AT HOLLOWPOINT (MR & MRS T & S PRICE)
13 months. Slightly smaller than 1. Masculine with short back, good front and rear angulation. Not the fill of 1, but good profile and eye and ear set and a correct mouth. Moved well both ways.

5 years black brindle and white. Substantial and quality, upstanding boy. Good bone for size, lovely tight feet. Good lay of shoulder. Slightly straight in stifle. Beautiful profile with plenty of fill and good expression with ears on top. Correct mouth. Moved with drive.

1st UKUSA HAYABUSA AT GROUNDWORX (MR & MISS C & N WEST & JONES)
4 years white. Substantial and masculine boy, carrying a little extra weight today but able to see his very good body lines with well laid shoulder and super rear angulation. Good tail set. Feet could be tidier. Unexaggerated profile, but plenty of fill and nice eye with ears bang on top. Correct mouth. Tight elbows and moved accordingly, straight and with drive. His make, shape and maturity took him to RBD today. RBD

8 years red and white. In super condition. Good body lines with short back and good rear angulation. Neat feet. Would prefer a little more profile but plenty of fill. Enjoyed his day and a credit to his owner.

11 months white. Plenty of type and presented a quality outline. Not the biggest girl but very feminine with stunning head with unbroken profile and piercing expression. Neat feet. Correct mouth. Slightly short in upper arm but good lay of shoulder and rear angulation and correct tail set. Still some maturing to do but should be very nice once finished.

1st MARIA CARMINHO THE NORTHERN PROUDBULLS (IMP PRT) (MISS FORBES)
14 months red and white. Very nicely made throughout terrier type with good upper arm, good length of neck into moderate length of back. Super tight feet. Head lacks profile and fill but nice expression. Correct mouth. Moved out well both ways once settled.

2 years red and white. Top drawer, superbly made, feminine girl with super short back, deep brisket, superb forechest, excellent lay of shoulder and rear angulation with correct tail set. Fabulous gun barrel front and tight feet. Presented a very correct picture and she appealed to me greatly. As feminine as my best dog was masculine with exaggerated but correct head with profile, fill and finish. Neat ears bang on top and small dark eye, giving good expression. Correct mouth. Best mover of the day and her overall correctness and stylish outline won her the challenge.BB BOS
2nd GROUNDWORX STABILITY (MR & MISS C & N WEST & JONES)
23 months white. Another very nice one. Plenty of type. Stunning profile and expression. A little longer cast than 1 and not as tidy, but still a very virtuous bitch. Just preferred the overall compactness of 1 but still deserved a second look in the challenge. Should do well.

2 years black brindle and white. Another top class one. Super type with uber-short back. Superb headpiece with profile, loads of fill, good eye and ear set. Moved a little close behind and feet could be tidier. Mouth not her fortune which just tipped the balance for me. Carries her faults well but just preferred the overall correctness of my BB in the challenge – she certainly made me think hard though! Another one to watch. RBB
