Firstly, I’d just like to start by apologising for the delay with my critique submission.
Secondly, I want to thank East Anglian for giving me the opportunity to judge. It was wonderful to step back into the ring.
The committee worked very well together and were very friendly and attentive, and the cake was yummy lol. It’s a great venue too.
A great big thank you to the entrants for supporting myself and the club, it's extremely important to support the clubs especially in this day and age, where members are often needed on committees, as well as making entries. Not to mention a special thanks to our stewards of the day, I’m sure they understand my appreciation. Also to the experienced referee who, if called, can offer valuable insight, for decisions made.
It was lovely to share the day with the Mini’s and their judge. The Mini’s pipped the BT’s to the post by way of the referee's final decision.

1st DAEDALION BIG DADDY CHAD (MR D PAYNE)
Seven month old white male with brindle ear. Strong head with good width, fill and profile. Well placed ears, which he uses well. Mouth ok. Tiny dark eye. Nice reach of neck leading to well layed shoulder and a short back. Nicely developing chest. Good bone for size and nice feet. He’s well angulated to the rear, and moves well both ways, holding his topline with the correct tail set and carriage. He just needs to mature as he's still very much a baby.
It was his, and his handlers first time in the ring, and they both did very well for their first time. Well done, keep practising and enjoy.

1st ABENAKI DAMBUSTER (MRS L CURTIS)
14 month old well marked brindle and white male with ample bone. Well turned profile with a big finish, great fill and muzzle width. Mouth ok. He has a nice tiny eye especially for a coloured. On the day I would have liked to see him use his ears better, to point more to the top, from the front, just to give that lovely full and complete expression, but that’s me being picky. He’s a well made dog with a good reach of neck, correct shoulder placement and a nice short back. Lovely deep forechest. Great bone and nice tidy feet. Well angulated and muscled at the rear, moving well from the front and behind, while holding his topline, and with correct tail carriage. He pushed hard against BD and could have easily changed places on another day. RBD
2nd BEEBEEMI SNOW SOLDIER (MR T HOPE)
12 month old white male, just out of puppy. Heavyweight mature youngster, with good bone. Nicely filled head with good width but lacks the profile of one. He has a tiny dark eye, slightly wide ear set, but has a correct bite. Short backed dog with a lovely deep chest. Would like a little more bend of stifle and a better tail set and carriage, which he tends to carry over his back. Moves well coming. He has very good feet. He showed well, was in lovely condition and enjoyed his day.

1st JASNA LOCKED AND LOADED (MR & MISS S J & J SYKES & SHAW)
Tricolour male, two years old with a nice gentle profile, and good width. He has a good eye. Mouth fault. Good reach of neck into well laid shoulders and a deep chest. Just a little long in the cast. He moved well, coming and going, using his tail well. He has good bone with very nice tidy feet. He shows very well and works at one with his handler.

1st MIINROC DARK INTENTIONS (MISS F MILLS)
Two year old tricolour male. Large typy male who is very showy and likes to keep his handler on her toes, but he can and does settle. Nice gentle profile and well filled strong head, would just like a tad more muzzle width, me being ultra picky. Mouth level. A small wicked eye and good ear placement. He has a good reach of neck, well laid shoulders, with a lovely deep chest, and a short back. He has good bone for his size and is well muscled with a good bend of stifle. He moves well both coming and going, with drive, and holds his topline. His tail is well set and he carries it correctly. He was in good hard condition and was a joy to go over. Pushed hard against the bitch. BD
2nd RUBBISE BIG AL (MR A HAASE)
Two year old well marked brindle and white male that has a good profile, well filled head with good muzzle width. Mouth ok. Well placed and set ears. He’s a well made cobby male with good bone and a nice forechest. He is short backed and well angulated to the rear. He moved well both ways and held his topline while carrying his tail well. He was a happy boy, enjoying his day.

1st ROMAGNA RUMOUR HAS IT (MR & MRS M & Y MORGANS)
10 year old beautifully balanced white female, whom I remember very fondly, in her younger days. Gentle profile with good fill and lovely width of muzzle. Ears are showing her age. Mouth fault. Good bone, good reach of neck, correct shoulder placement with a lovely forechest. Well angulated to the rear. She’s looking super for her age. Eventually got to see her move, after trying to trip her handler up and down the mat, I think she thought she was a naughty bullie puppy again. I've always loved this girl. BV

1st LARONBELLES SERPENTINE (MR & MRS & MISS A & A & E J TWYMAN)
Beautiful brindle and white substantial female pup with great bone. Very mature for her tender 8 months of age. She has a lovely gentle, sweeping profile with more length from eye to nose, than ear to eye and with enough fill and width with good under jaw. Correct bite. Well set and placed ears, which she never stopped using. She has a tiny eye, completing the expression. She has a lovely deep round forechest and a good spring of rib with a long but muscular reach of neck which tapers nicely toward her head. Her rear angulation is very good and she is well muscled. Tail set and carriage are correct. On the move, she goes with purpose and drive, especially from the rear, covering the ground well with reach. To be extra critical, she's just a little loose, and just needs to tighten up slightly, but at her age and for her size, that's acceptable. It was her first time out, she handled very well, and she definitely didn't disappoint. BP BB BOB The final decision for BIS went to the referee, and had decided on the lovely Mini dog, as he at this point is more finished.
2nd JASNA ROLL THE DICE (MR & MISS S J & J SYKES & SHAW)
9 months of age, pretty red and white female. Well made girl with good bone. Not quite the strength in head of 1, and I’d like to see better ear set. Correct mouth. She has a nice reach of neck into well laid shoulders, and a nice length of back, and a good spring of rib. Her rear angulation is good and she moves well both ways, holding her topline. Her tail is well set and she carries it as she should. She works very well with her handler.
3rd TEWKABULL PERFECT STORM (MR JACK TEWKESBURY)
At just six months old this well marked Tricoloured female is still very much a baby, and needs time to mature, and develop. Strong sweeping profile, I’d like a tad more width to balance, but that may well come. She has a correct mouth. Nice, small well placed ears. She has a long reaching neck with a nice chest coming along well. Short back and she has good bone for her size, with lovely tidy feet, and a good bend of stifle. She moved well both ways and handled her day very well. I’m interested to how she comes along in another 6 mo, as she’s a very nice pup.

15 month old red and white female. Mature, well made girl with good bone and balance. Sweeping profile with a well filled head and good muzzle width. Correct mouth. Well placed ears and a good eye. Her neck has good reach, leading into a well laid shoulder. She has a deep forechest a good spring of rib, and a short back, and has a good bend of stifle. She moves well coming and going, holding her topline. Her tail set is correct, and she carries it well. When I first approached, she was unsure of me, but given the time, she came out of herself and proceeded to show well. Hopefully she gains more ring practice and enjoys her time in the ring RBB

1st UNIONBUL'S HUNTRESS (MRS & MR R & J SULLIVAN)
Two year old white female with head mark. Substantial big boned girl, with a gentle profile and great width and fill. She has a nice dark, small eye, and can use her ears well. Mouth ok. Well muscled neck with good reach and good shoulders, with a correct length of back for size. Big round deep forechest, but she tends to tuck her elbows, which causes her to paddle slightly on the move coming. She is well angulated at the rear, and moves well going, carrying her tail well. She was presented and handled well.
2nd CIGANO LITTLE MISS THUNDER AT TEWKABULL (MR JACK TEWKESBURY)
Five year old pretty tricoloured female with a sweeping profile, but with a little less power than 1. Correct mouth, she has a good eye and small, well placed ears. She's a well put together girl with a nice chest and short back and has a good bend of stifle and is well muscled. She moves well both ways and holds her topline. Unfortunately, her feet were a little aggravated today.

1st MIINROC JUST A FAZE (MISS F MILLS)
Well marked two year old tricolour. Pretty, elegant girl with a lovely gentle sweeping profile, and adequately filled head and muzzle width, with a correct mouth. Well placed ears and a tiny dark eye. She has a nice reach of neck following into well placed shoulders and a lovely short back. Her rear angulation is good and she is well muscled, and conditioned. To be super critical, I would like just a little more spring of rib, and forechest, but that’s just me being picky. She has more than enough bone for her size and has very tidy feet. Her movement is good both coming and going, while holding her topline. She works well for her handler. Could very easily change places for a higher finish
2nd JASNA SMOKE AND MIRRORS (MRS & MR A & J GIBBS)
Two year old white female with head markings. A big fun girl with plenty of bone, and plenty to say, she’s happy to tell us all about it. Gentle profile with a well filled head and deep under jaw. She has a good eye, but I would like a better ear set to complete the expression. Wide muscular neck leading into well set shoulders, she has a lovely big chest and a good length of back. Her bend of stifle is good and she moves well when she settles, holding her topline with correct tail carriage.

Six year old red and white girl with lots of bone. A showy well made girl, with a gentle profile and good fill with a wide muzzle. Unfortunate mouth fault. Well placed ears and a good eye for her age. Well reaching neck into a good lay of shoulder, she is well sprung in the rib with a lovely deep front. Good angulation to the rear, she moves well both ways. She holds her topline and carries her well set tail correctly, on the move. Although she has an under-carriage, she still shows a lovely outline.
