I would like to thank the officers and committee of Three Counties, a show which before my move last year was my local show, for giving me the opportunity to judge a breed I was brought up with as a child. Thanks also to the exhibitors many of whom had travelled a long way to show under me and giving me, although a little down in numbers, a quality entry. There were some very difficult classes which I’m sure on another day and another judge my placings would change! I was looking first and foremost for an upstanding dog with a nice mix of bull and terrier, not coarse in any way and a dog with attitude! Movement on the whole was excellent as were for the most part mouths though I was conscious of the KC directive towards in standing canines! I must apologise to exhibitors for the lateness of my report but shortly after this appointment I judged in Germany and caught Covid I think on the plane journey home, which laid me low with no energy for 2 months !

1st CYWBULLYS THUNDERING TANK (MRS SIAN BECKINSALE)
What a great name for this substantial red and white boy. His head is well filled with a good profile and an ok mouth and good eye for a coloured. He has good bone, straight front down to tidy feet and a good backend. Moved ok coming and going once settled. One to watch.

1st TEWKABULL PEAKY BLINDER (MR J TEWKESBURY)
Lovely white compact dog put down in lovely hard condition good length of head with gentle arc and plenty of finish. Correct mouth and well placed ears, dark eye, muscular neck, leading to short back and well placed tail and with well-muscled quarters, moved better in front than rear Well handled. Considered for RCC
2nd MIINROC DARK INTENTIONS (MISS F MILLS)
Different type to 1 smaller tricolour compact well balanced dog, good head with a small dark eye, mouth ok and ears bang on top. Lovely straight front with cat tight feet, good top line but would prefer a better tail set, well angulated quarters, moved and handled well.

Lovely dark brindle and white. A really well balanced typey dog with a long head well filled with a gentle profile, dark eyes and neat ears bang on top. Carrying a slight mouth fault. lovely neck and front, good feet, great spring of rib and good hard quarters, moved well coming and going, Handled really well. DCC BOB
2nd ARCHETYPE WILD CARD (MS A GATES)
Different type to 1. Flashy brindle and white with a strong well turned and filled head, wicked eye, well placed shoulders, and a good fore chest & neck, good straight bone, short back and correct tail placement moved well front and rear once settled. A dog that needs to be gone over to appreciate his qualities. RDCC

A dog I gave BIS to at my first breed club open show. Loved him then and still do even though like many of us is showing his age. Big upstanding brindle & white. Lovely head well filled and turned. Small dark eye giving good expression. Good small and well placed ears. Mouth still correct. Well sprung ribs with straight front with round bone and cat feet. Nice level top line and well bent stifle. Moved well coming and going and handled to perfection. He really enjoyed his day A credit to his owner/ handler. BV

Brindle and white 11 month puppy that still has a lot of maturing to do . Feminine head with well set ears dark eye still needs to finish. Mouth fault. Good neck into shapely body and correct tail set. Moved and handled well. BP

Lovely tricolour girl with a super profile and well filled head, small wicked eye, correct mouth and ears bang on top. Lovely long neck into good shoulder with great body lines, moved well Fore and aft and handled well. Pleased to award her RBCC
2nd ORBAL HOT ENOUGH (MRS G MACHIN)
Another nice tricolour with a good egg shaped head and correct mouth. Good body and rear quarters, Straight front but a little down on her pasterns, which I’m sure will improve as she matures. Put down in beautiful condition moved well front and back.

Quality brindle with a lovely head with turn and fill, wicked eye and uses her ears well which are bang on top. Slight mouth fault. lovely neck, shoulders and rear quarters, lots of bone and cat like feet, moved well both ways at one with her handler.

Quality white upstanding bitch with strong head with deep muzzle, gentle sweep of profile, lovely eye and ear set giving desired expression. Straight front with good bone down to tidy feet. Well sprung ribs, shapely quarters, moved and handled well. A close call and I’m sure will change places with 1 on another day.

Upstanding white bitch with black eye patches. top quality girl, strong feminine head good length, wicked eye and well set ears, mouth ok. Muscular neck, leading to correct topline straight front with plenty of bone down to tidy feet. Well-muscled quarters, moved and handled well. Pushed hard for top honours which I’m sure will come!
2nd TULSADOOM MESHUGGENEH (MR & MRS D & T WESTWOOD)
Quality all white with ear marking, lovely head with turn and fill, Mouth fault, wicked eye giving a great expression. Good neck and shoulders, correct top line and strong rear quarters and lovely cat like feet. Moved well both ways, well handled and presented.

Large upstanding red and white just oozing type. Well balanced and feminine bitch with a lovely strong head, with great profile width, and fill. Small triangular eye with well set ears giving the desired wicked expression and topped off with a perfect mouth. Straight front with a good shoulder and super top line and tail set. Broad chest, deep brisket and strong quarters which she used to advantage coming and going. Would like better feet which in the end cost her BOB. BCC her third. Congratulations. BCC

Red and white with a feminine attractive head, but would like more width and fill. Long neck with a good firm topline held well on the move and with a well set tail. Moved well coming and going and well handled.
