I would like to thank the committee and exhibitors for making my first judging appointment awarding Challenge Certificates a thoroughly enjoyable one. I am truly grateful and amazed at the fabulous entry both in quality and numerically. I was totally spoiled for choice. Thank you for your patience in waiting for a show that was originally to take place in April 2020, we got there in the end.
My stewards ensured the show ran smoothly and I was delighted with how the lovely prizes from Moscow were received by the lucky winners. I hope I did the club proud and want to congratulate all who took part in making it a COVID safe environment.

1ST LARONBELLE'S MAGIC VISIONS (MR & MRS A & A TWYMAN)
Nearly 11 year old, upstanding dog, white with brindle head marks. In super condition, striding out well for his age. Lovely expression with well-placed erect ears and eyes that are still keen. Gentle profile with a slight break, not overdone in any area, falls away a little under the eye. Hanging on to a good mouth. Good length of neck onto a well-placed shoulder and ample front, good bone and substance all through. Holding his top line nicely on the move, looked a picture standing. Moving a tad close behind in his advancing years but totally belies his age for the most part. He really did seem like he would show forever. It is always fantastic to see the elder Bull Terrier statesmen still taking part and I have a huge soft spot for them. Thank you for bringing him.

1st BULLYVIEW YOUNG OFFENDER (MR & MRS J & A YOUNG)
9 months old white with brindle head marks, a substantial bull type puppy. First impression is all about the excellent amount of bone and power. Head is long with a gentle profile, perfect mouth and good finish. Lovely expression from piercing eye, ears well placed but a tad soft at this stage. Would like a bit more muzzle power and fill, plenty of time for this to mature on. Moderate length of back, plenty of chest and rib. Needs to firm up a bit in pasterns, round feet and that bone, strong and thick all the way down. Good depth of fore-chest, well rounded rib, solid top-line. Tail was correctly set on. Well-muscled rear drove him along with purpose. Presented in pristine condition by an expert handler. BP
2nd EVANNASTAR'S ROCCO (MISS J MURRAY)
10 months old well marked black brindle and white, different type to winner, a smaller more compact prospect. Lovely, powerful head with smooth arcing profile. Completely filled with good muzzle power and depth of underjaw. Excellent expression with tiny eye and well used ears. Mouth is undershot. Short backed and needs to mature on in both fore-chest and rib. Top-line held on the move and tail was correctly set on. Bone is good and stays thick all the way down. Feet are loose. Would like to see elbows tucked in and tighter to the chest, this led to the front movement being a bit toey. Well let down in the rear and hence moved along much better from the behind.

13 months old substantial, well-marked brindle and white male. Another whose first impression is of bone and power. Smooth, long, wide head with power and depth. Completely filled. Perfect mouth and strong deep underjaw. Unbroken profile with finish and not over done in any way. Beautiful expression from a piercing eye and well placed and carried ears. Good length of neck into a well matured, deep fore-chest, beautiful thick bone all the way down to tight, round feet. Needs to tighten a little in pastern. Well laid shoulder and masculine body lines, deep rib cage. Solid top line and correct tail set. Powerfully muscled and turned rear. Moved out true from behind, front tended to paddle a little. Lots of potential in this masculine youngster, exuded type and ring presence. Certainly one to watch. Handled and presented to his best. Delighted to award him RES CC. RDCC
2nd RAGNAROK COMMANDO (MR & MISS J E & R L WHITEMAN & GOODAIR)
15 months old upstanding white male with red ear. Taller type than winner but still a substantial all male. Head is smooth with good finish and fill. Good profile, deep muzzle and under jaw. Scissor bite with one slightly tight canine. Punishing expression from tiny oblique eyes and well placed and used ears. Lacks a tad in nose pigment. Bone is correct for type, remains thick down to tight round feet. Well rounded fore-chest, would like a bit more spring of rib but time is on his side. Masculine neck leads into a shoulder that could be laid back better. Short strong back with correctly set on tail. Would like a bit more rear angulation. Moved quite well both ways, gave his handler a bit of a hard time. Presented in good condition.
3rd BIG ALAN (MR & MISS J J & C E VEITCH & HILL)
15 months old white with black ears, terrier type male. Came up against 2 more mature and substantial dogs in his class. Long head with good ear set and small eye, lacking a bit in profile, power and fill. Perfect mouth. Underjaw and muzzle are both a bit shallow. Needs to mature on all over and fill out his compact frame. Adequate bone for size and type, short back and good tight feet. Tail set on correctly, Moved out ok both ways, presented in good, well-muscled condition but needs a lot more time to be at his best.

All white cobby, compact and typy male, power packed head, mouth just off with correct canines. Punishing expression from tiny eyes and well-placed ears used all the time. Smooth profile down to good finish. Excellent depth of muzzle, bags of fill. Enough length of neck into well laid back shoulder. Well-developed fore-chest and depth of rib cage. Good amount of bone down into tight feet. Short backed with solid top-line. Would prefer a shade more rear angulation to improve the picture. Holds tail a bit high at times. Moved out in a typical way fore and aft. An excitable male who filled his frame with maximum substance. Handled well.
2nd TEWKABULL PEAKY BLINDER (MR J TEWKESBURY)
All white substantial male with small eye mark. Another very typy boy with lots to like. Beautiful head filled right up, ears bang on top and lovely small eye giving excellent expression. Smooth profile, again nothing over-done, lovely power and width with a deep muzzle and underjaw. Good well developed fore-chest, enough bone for size and type. Tight round feet, short backed with a good tail set. Nicely balanced dog all around. Holds top-line on the move and went well both ways. Sadly I was unable to see his mouth, he was really unhappy about showing it on the day. Handler did his level best and I hope that in future he will be able to work on this part of his ring training successfully.
3rd BOSLEY RASELS BULL JUGGERNAUT CV naf taf (MR J KEATING)
Upstanding smart tri-colour male. Lovely sweeping head with fill and power. Excellent finish. Good depth of muzzle and underjaw. Well placed ear and eye gave a typically wicked expression. Mouth incorrect. Enough bone down to neat round feet. Would like a bit more fore-chest and depth of rib. Short enough in back and with a well let down and muscled rear. Moved well both ways just needs to body up some more in a few areas. Nicely presented.

Well marked brindle and white compact cobby dog. Excellent long head – power packed and filled up. Gentle unbroken profile with roman finish, good ear set and small eye gives a wickedly typical expression. Deep underjaw. Mouth incorrect. Well-developed fore-chest, straight front with enough bone for size. Tight, round feet. Shoulder well laid, a tad long in back. Excellent well-muscled rear. Moved a bit close behind. Holds top-line on the move, tail correctly set. Very well presented and handled.
2nd TILLEAH BRILLIANT DISGUISE (MRS T MOORE)
Upstanding white with brindle eye patch. Larger type all around than first place. Long head with gentle profile, slightly broken, and a roman finish. Head is wide with excellent tiny eye, would prefer ear set more on top and more fill under the eye. Well developed in fore-chest, good shoulder, short backed with well angulated rear. A tad over roached in top-line. Would prefer an inch on the neck to give more reach. Moved well coming, a bit close going away. Very well handled.
3rd JASNA LOCKED AND LOADED (MR S SYKES)
Extremely substantial, powerful tri colour dog. Huge amount of bone. Long, strong head with depth and width. Excellent roman finish. Gentle profile, mouth incorrect. Small eye giving a wicked expression. Flatly refused to use his ears today. Very mature in body lines, well-developed gun barrel chest, beautiful round feet, good tail set. Long in back and straight in stifle, loses his top-line as a result. Moved powerfully down the mat. Could be tighter all over with a drop in weight.

Well balanced white with tri head marks. Compact dog who stands four square. Powerful, neat, well filled head and good mouth. Smooth profile, lacks a bit in finish. Excellent expression from small eye and neat, well set ear. Deep underjaw. Good reach of neck leads into a lovely shoulder, well-developed fore-chest and deep ribcage. Lovely straight front. Short backed with correct tail set. Would prefer more bone all through. Very well-muscled rear. In good condition all over. Moved well both ways. Started the class a little lack-lustre but pulled it together when it mattered. Handler had to work hard today.
2nd MOONFLOWER TUMEN OF KARMARA (IMP HUN) (MRS & MR R & T KARTA-WILLIAMS & WILLIAMS)
Upstanding all white dog, completely different type to first. Lovely long filled head with sweeping profile and finish. Good mouth. Small, triangular eye gives punishing expression. Ears a tad soft. Deep underjaw. Excellent length of neck and beautiful shoulder, extremely well developed fore-chest, good, deep rib. Would prefer a little more bone for size. Excellent feet. Moderate length of back, well-muscled rear. Moved better coming than going. Lacks a tad in pigment. Very well presented and handled perfectly.
3rd SERENBULL SOUL DEFENDER (MISS & MR A & P GARDNER & PATTERSON)
Compact, terrier type white with red ear. Nicely balanced and well made. Long head with smooth unbroken profile. Excellent eye and ear set gives typical expression. Good mouth and deep underjaw. Would like a tad more muzzle power and width. Lovely reach of neck into well laid shoulder. Straight front. Good chest and rib. Short in back, well-developed rear. Tail is set on correctly. Moved well both ways. Lacks somewhat in bone and masculinity, would prefer more of him all over.

Upstanding, powerful and well balanced, typy all white. Heavyweight who simply screams masculinity and owns his space. Long, strong head, packed right up with width and power. Smooth unexaggerated profile. Excellent expression from punishingly small eye. Ears a tad soft and wide. Good mouth. Strong, deep underjaw. Excellent finish. Muscular neck leading into well-laid shoulder. Mature gun barrel fore-chest, deep rib and straight front, ample round bone all the way down to tight, cat feet. Short enough in back. Well angulated rear. Tail set on correctly. Well-muscled all over. Moved very well, holding a strong top-line, both ways. One I watched many times from ring side pre- COVID and am very pleased to have had the chance to go over – delighted to award him his third and crowning CC. DCC

Straight front with good bone down to tight feet. Moderate length of back. Beautifully balanced and well-made throughout. Very well-muscled rear. Tail set correctly. Moved very well both ways. Shown in excellent condition and handled well.

Short backed with just enough bone for size and type. Neat round feet. Well-muscled and masculine dog in a smaller package than first two. Moved well both ways.

1st LARONBELLE'S CRIMSON TIDE (MR & MRS & MISS A & A & E J TWYMAN)
Uber smart, upstanding red and white bitch, powerful head all through with length and excellent depth of muzzle. Ears bang on top and small, dark, well-set eye gives a sharply wicked expression. Sweeping profile without breaks and good finish. Mouth fault – one canine in. Beautiful reach of neck into clean shoulder. Round fore-chest and ramrod straight front. Would like a little more bone for size. Neat, tight feet. Mature and balanced bodylines, with deep rib cage. Short enough in back though has a tendency to over-stretch. Holds a firm top-line, with a correct tail set. Rear is well-muscled and angulated. Moved out well both ways, a girl who is really on her toes in the show ring. Handler worked very hard to get the best of her in a strong line up. Delighted to award her RES CC and will definitely be one to follow in future. RBCC

Well marked, smart black brindle and white bitch. Beautiful body lines, really well balanced. Excellent punishing expression from wicked eye, ears could be smaller and set a tad closer. Long head with seemingly never-ending arc, good finish. Perfect mouth. Lost out to first in depth and strength of muzzle, would prefer more of an underjaw. A bit light in bone. Elegant reach of neck into well laid shoulder. Enough fore-chest, a bit soft in top-line. Moderate length of back, with well let down and muscular rear. Excellent tight feet. Tail set on correctly. Moved better in front than behind where she is close. Shown in pristine condition and perfectly in tune with her handler.

Mature and substantial brindle and white bitch. Smart, shapely girl who has balance and power. Very strong head with width, depth and fill. Excellent, smooth profile with finish. Deep underjaw. Mouth incorrect. Fabulous expression from wicked eye and small, neat ears bang on top. Lovely length of neck into a decent shoulder and well-developed fore-chest. Deep rib cage. Would like a tad more bone for size. Moderate length of back. Tidy feet. Correct tail set and well-developed rear. Moved better coming than going. A decent all round bitch. Well handled.
