As we live in ‘interesting times’ with Covid I’d seen little of the those entered under me, so finding it more like judging overseas in that it was largely a voyage of discovery and taking them as I found them in the moment.

1st BULLYHILL HANDSOME DRAGON (MR K D ZIOLKOWSKI)
Shapely red and white. Looked well on entering the ring, but a little uneasy when showing his mouth, in which his incisors are correct. A masculine head with turn and good expression, just needs a little more arc and fill. Shapely neck into a decent shoulder and topline. Good bone and substance, with reasonable quarters, moving a little close behind.

1st TEWKABULL PEAKY BLINDER (MR J TEWKESBURY)
Strong class winner: well-balanced white standing four-square. Lovely profile with arc, turn, good expression and ear carriage - although would like more fill, he was the only one with a perfect mouth. Shapely neck into a good shoulder, short back, correct topline and tail carriage. A little loose in front, but good bone and substance with a lovely deep chest. Decent quarters, moving adequately behind.
Tough call between 2+3
2nd VILLENSIA SWEENEY TODD (MISS L VILLENSIA)
Quality white with good profile, lovely turn and good expression, with slight mouth fault. Good clean lines and in excellent condition. Would like a little more bend and muscle tone, moved a little close behind.
3rd TILLEAH ICEMAN (MRS T MOORE)
Very typy and masculine white. Although I preferred his head and expression, he unfortunately has a fairly serious mouth fault. Decent bone and substance, moving a little closer behind.

1st ABGAR THE ALMIGHTY (MISS & MR A & J HENDERSON & SMITH)
Upstanding brindle and white with lovely clean lines and in excellent condition. When he stands-up and shows looks a picture, but needs keeping on his toes to avoid slipping in to dopey-but-sweet mode. Good head in profile with a wicked expression – to be critical would like a little more width of muzzle. Well-balanced with a shapely neck into well placed shoulders and good topline. Good bone and substance with a decent front and feet. Would like shorter back, but shapely quarters moving well behind, just lacking a little drive
Open Dog Entries 12 Absentees 3
A tough class with a number of good dogs blessed with obvious virtue, counter-balanced with similar value but differing flaws, prompting a number of fine-line decisions.
1st AFANBULL BRUNO MARS (MR D HARRIS)
An ultra-smart, well-balanced brindle and white who caught my eye the moment he swept into the ring. Well arced head with depth and turn. Good reach of neck into well placed shoulders, correct topline and muscular, well-angulated quarters and level tail carriage. In corking condition, oozing graceful masculinity, with his ample virtues easily outweighing a mouth fault. Beautifully balanced, he can’t stand badly, moving like an athlete and standing four-square throughout. DCC
2nd RABRAM RUSTIC SUNRISE (MR R LEGGATT)
Another good, well-marked brindle and white Good head with arc and turn. Although his mouth is correct, discoloured teeth did detract. Well laid shoulder and correct topline, would like straighter front. Shapely quarters when standing, but disappointing rear action. Excellent bone but losing out in condition to above and needs to be more on his toes at this level. RDCC
3rd WHITE WIZARD OF STEEL AT BLAZINBULLYS (MR & MRS S & R MATHISON)
Typy white showing well throughout. Lovely clean head with a good profile having arc finish and punishing expression. Would like a little more reach of neck and lay of shoulder. A decent front with good feet, shapely quarters and correct tail carriage. Although good muscle-tone was carrying too much weight today – but easily fixed!

1st CH DOFRO TJURPANNA STORMRIDER (MR & MRS D & L CATILINA)
7 year old white I described as being in ‘lovely, lovely condition’ with youthful clean lines. A good strong masculine head with sweeping down-face, good ear carriage and wicked expression, with good width and fill for his age. Lovely fluid movement, elbows could be tighter but really making the best of himself and well deserved Best Veteran.

1st BULLYHILL SWEET ANGEL (MR K D ZIOLKOWSKI)
8 months old attractive red and white. Good feminine head with one ear struggling to stay up at this stage. Straight front, with good bone and substance. Would like shorter back, but shapely quarters, moving well both ways. BP

1st BEAVERDEN ATOMIC (MRS F DENNISON)
White, with an exquisite head, sweeping downface with width fill and finish and correct mouth. Good straight front, tight feet and well balanced. A little bit light in weight and not the substance of 2, has a decent topline and shapely quarters. Standing looks a picture, although her close rear action is surprisingly disappointing – I would suggest hard roadwork to boost condition and muscle tone pay dividends.
2nd KARMARA'S LITTLE WHITE LIE (MRS & MR R & T KARTA-WILLIAMS & WILLIAMS)
Upstanding, typy white with a good head, having arc, finish and good expression, with mouth fault. Good bone and substance, just toes out in front. Would like shorter back, but good bend of stifle, moving adequately behind.

1st MIINROC JUST A FAZE (MISS F MILLS)
Feminine tricolour, with a lovely typy head in profile, with arc and turn, just needing a little more width and fill. Level bite. Good straight front and shapely quarters; would like a little more bone and moved a little close behind. Standing four-square, in good condition and showed like a trooper
2nd JASNA SMOKE AND MIRRORS (MRS & MR A & J GIBBS)
Feast of a lady in no doubt she was undoubtedly the ‘fairest of them all’… White with a strong feminine head without exaggeration and lovely expression, although ears not fully on top. Plenty of bone and substance, good forechest and shapely quarters, moving a little close behind.

1st COPABULL WHITE LIGHTENING OF BULLYON (MR & MRS MR & MRS P & C MB & J C BUSSON & PHILLIPS)
Very typy and feminine white. Lovely head with arc, width, finish and wicked expression, would like smaller ears and to be more on top. A perfect mouth. Shapely neck into a lovely straight front. Good bone and substance with a decent topline, shapely quarters and correct tail carriage, moving well both ways and a strong class winner. Just losing out in maturity to the eventual winner. RBCC
2nd JAVARKE PIRATE QUEEN (MRS J JOHNSON)
Another very typy white. Loved her head and beautiful expression; slight mouth fault. Good bone and substance, just losing out to the winner in front and not moving as well behind.
3rd OLLIEBRAD SONG BIRD (MR & MRS M & K BRADLEY)
Another very typy, upstanding black brindle and white. Yet another lovely head with arc, turn, width and fill. A decent shoulder into a straight front, although her nails are little long. Would like slightly shorter back, but well angulated quarters and correct tail carriage.

1st MAYHEMS HOT STUFF AT KARMARA (IMP CAN) (MRS & MR R & T KARTA-WILLIAMS & WILLIAMS)
Another strong class winner: a sweeping, unbroken profile with turn, with decent width and fill. A beautiful expression and correct ear carriage. She is a large, well balanced white with plenty of bone and substance, standing four-square; well handled, she never stopped showing throughout. To be critical she is a little close behind, but has a lovely straight front both standing on the move. Pleased to award her BCC BOB
2nd LARONBELLE'S CRIMSON TIDE (MR & MRS & MISS A & A & E J TWYMAN)
Another top class typy red and white lovely head with arc, fill and depth, with level bite and one instanding canine. Excellent bone and substance with decent front, topline and quarters, making her a strong 2nd.
3rd RAZORSEDGE WALK THIS WAY WITH FERGUSTAFF (MRS L J MARSHALLSAY)
Yet another high quality, typy brindle and white of similar stamp to above. Lovely head with arc, depth and turn, but unfortunate reverse bite and instanding canine.
