I had been looking forward to this appointment for a while and the day did not disappoint. I was happy to find a great entry of coloured dogs to go over. On the day I noticed bites and canines were generally good, but there was quite a lot of close rear movement. Thank you to the committee for allowing me to judge, the exhibitors for entering their dogs under me, the spectators who came along for a day out and my two stewards who worked hard all day.

1st UKUSA FORTUITOUS AT JASNA (MRS & MR A & J GIBBS)
Red and white bitch that’s in great condition. Her head is filled well with a gentle sloping profile. Ears could be placed a bit tighter. She has a shapely body with a nice straight front and good forechest, well let down hocks. Moved ok. Clearly loves her day out and never takes her eyes off her owner.

1st JAVARKE MUNDOO (MRS J JOHNSON)
A smashing black brindle and white puppy, not far off a year old. He is tall and upstanding with good round bone accentuating his beautiful front, nice tight feet. Good shoulder placement. Lovely reach of neck leading into a short back. Head is long and well filled when viewed from the front and he uses his ears well. Moved well, but feel he was still a little loose, being a youngster. Once this boy reaches his full potential, he will be one to watch. BPIB

1st JASNA DIAMOND NOIR (MR J PAGE)
A cobby and powerful tricolour. Maximum bone and substance for his type and size. His head is quite short but well filled and turned. Nice deep underjaw. He has a good strong masculine body, with a nice tuck up and a well muscled rear. His neck is a little stuffy and id prefer a little more length of upper arm, which would help his topline on the move. Moved off with drive. He’s a bit of a livewire, but when he concentrates and settles, he shows off his virtues well.
2nd DEVARCA ANYTHING GOES (MRS & MR R & J SULLIVAN)
A rangy brindle and white, different in type to 1. Larger in size. On first glance, his head is wide and broad. Long, filled and gentle in profile. Slightly kind in eye. Front is straight but turns his feet out slightly. Would prefer a touch more bone for his large frame. Well bodied up with a good topline and correct tail set. Nicely bent stifles and moved well coming, a little close on the rear.

1st CARAMEL LATTE (MISS E ROSE)
Red and white fully mature, would like a little more of him all over but makes the most of himself in the ring and presents himself well. His head is long with a gentle profile but would benefit from a little more fill. He has a nice expression from small dark eyes and holds his ears erect at all times. Good front with tight feet and good forechest. Short coupled and well balanced with a correct tail set. Moved ok in front a little close behind.
2nd KENZDUO BLACK BEAN (MISS J THOMAS)
Black brindle and white, smaller and different in type than 1. Long head well filled with well placed ears and a keen expression. Nice reach of neck and a moderate length of back. Good forechest. I would like a little more length of leg to balance him out a bit. Unfortunately his rear movement just wasn’t happening for him today.

1st MOCHARABULL HES EVERYTHING (MISS J CLEMENTS)
Black brindle and white with a lovely jacket. Up on leg with good forechest. Fully mature well ribbed up body. A little long in back. Head is wide and smooth in profile. Deep underjaw. Would like to see his ears used a little more. Great topline and tail set on correctly. Well let down hocks, moved well.
2nd BRUNEYE BISMARK FOR CASODON (MR & MRS D & C PLEASANTS)
Brindle and white heavyweight all male. He has maximum substance for his size. Good round bone but a touch wide in the front. Feet could be tighter. Head is wide and powerful with a strong underjaw. A little long cast, has well let down hocks. Moved out ok once his owner got him settled, but close at the rear.

1st ABGAR THE GYPSY KING (MR G NEWBERRY)
A super smart brindle and white with a well marked jacket. Was up on his toes as soon as he walked into the ring, keeping his handler focused on him at all times. First impressions were great, well made throughout with a short back, a well balanced dog. Enough bone for his size and put down in good hard condition. Nicely bent stifles, not overdone. Tight feet. His head is long and totally smooth in profile and well filled when viewed front on, lovely deep underjaw. Small dark eyes which gave a keen expression. Used his ears well. Moved well with drive from well his muscled rear and held his topline. A good dog that was a well deserved winner on the day! BD BOB
2nd KENXTWEN LET'S GO (MISS A TOWNEND)
Another quality dog, red and white, beautifully coloured in coat. More cobby than 1 but has just as many virtues. Strong powerful neck, leading into a short well matured body. Lovely shoulder placement, deep chested, nice round bone and tight feet. Head is wide and filled well. I’d prefer a touch more depth of profile being picky. Moved well. These 2 could easily swap places on another day, I just preferred the flashy-ness & overall picture of 1 RBD RBOB

1st BULLORRTIES CHERRY PIE (MISS A TOWNEND)
Red and white 9 months old. Quite a substantial girl for her young age. Her head is long with just enough fill. Gentle in profile when viewed from the side. Good eye giving a keen expression. Nice shapely body with an average length of back. Lovely bone and super tight feet. Carried her tail high sometimes. Moved ok and was well handled.
2nd JAVARKE GALADRIEL (MISS L M DAVISON)
Black brindle and white 10 months old. Longer in the body than 1. Head is long but a little plain in profile and id like fraction more depth. Nice reach of neck leading into a great forechest, correct shoulder placement and a dead straight front. Would like a little more bone. Moved better in front than behind. Presented nicely.

Beautiful coloured brindle and white bitch that has a lovely feminine look about her. Her head is wide and well filled when viewed front on. Eyes and ears positioned well. Not an overly big bitch but a nice tidy package throughout. Short in back, with a rock solid topline. Shoulder a little steep and id like a touch more forechest. Handled expertly, showing off her virtues to perfection. Moved nicely in front, but close at the rear. BB

Tricolour. Larger in size than 1, but as equally attractive. Strong well developed forechest with mature body lines. Good reach of neck, short in back, good tuck up and a nicely muscled second thigh. Long head, well filled and gentle in profile. Deep underjaw. Moved ok a little close at the rear.

1st RABRAM RIVER PHOENIX FOR CASODON (MR & MRS D & C PLEASANTS)
Tricolour with a super well filled and turned head, good strong underjaw. Small eyes which gave that typical expression. Would like to see her ears used a little more. Short in back with nice bone. Strong forechest. Feet could be tidier. For me id like to see a little less weight being carried, I feel it would improve her overall appearance. Moved out ok once settled, closer at the rear.

1st CLANSMANN FLAME OF GORY (MR P CAMPBELL)
A flashy red and white girl who has really matured and bodied up well since I last had the chance to go over her in her younger days. Looks the part and shows well for her handler. Her head is long and gentle in profile but has just enough width and fill. She holds elegant bodylines, with a nice short back. Lovely rear angulation. A touch upright in shoulder and I’d like a bit more forechest. Moved off well with drive. RBB

1st MEGAVILLE'S LOOK AT ME (MR & MRS P & A BLAIR)
Super showy brindle and white bitch with a beautiful arced head in profile. Long with turn and enough width. When viewed from the front, she has tiny dark eyes and well placed ears. Nicely balanced with flowing bodylines, would like a little more power throughout. The tightest of feet. Well let down hocks which gave good movement coming and going and held her topline well. A close call between her and the RBB, both lovely girls.

A young red and white who was previously in the puppy class. Clearly still learning the ropes, but did well with limited showing experience. Sweet girl with a lovely filled head which is wide and totally unbroken in profile. Little dark eyes, giving that typical look. Enough bone for size. Shoulder a touch upright. Short backed. A little straight in stifle and seemed to carry her tail high at times. Moved ok once her owner got her into her stride.
