I would like to extend my thanks to the committee for inviting me to judge and for their hospitality. Also, a heartfelt thanks to my two hard working stewards. Thankfully the rain held off and I had the honour of judging some outstanding exhibits in the grass ring. The standard was very high, with placings hotly contested. Pleased to note that there were very few mouth faults and that all temperaments were sound.

Nicely made, red and white, 9 month old boy. Gentle profile, lacks fill under the eyes. Sharp expression with small eyes. Good ear set, mouth ok. Nice reach of neck, straight front, feet just turning out. Elbows tight to ribcage. Deep brisket, good bone and substance, level topline and well tucked up under the flank. Moved ok with drive. BP.

Powerful and extremely virtuous red and white boy. Fabulously deep, filled head with smooth, unbroken, sweeping profile and perfect dentition. Ears bang on top, long reach of neck, decent forechest and straight front with tight feet. Short back, deep brisket. Strong, round bone. Elbows could be a little tighter to the ribcage. Well muscled second thigh with adequate bend of stifle. Played his handler up today but moved ok when settled in spurts. An outstanding dog, I look forward to seeing a lot more of. RDCC

Quality, typey, white boy. Lovely arced and filled head with no indentations. Perfect bite and well set ear carriage. Just a touch keener eye would make the head a picture. Good reach of neck, straight front and decent feet. A tad steep in shoulder angulation, but level topline. Well angulated and muscled rear quarters. Moved true coming and going. Very well handled and presented.

Outstanding white boy. Every inch of him screams "TYPE". Head beautifully arced and filled to the brim, with wicked, piercing expression and perfect mouth. A little lackadaisical in using his ears but when he does they are bang on top. Long reach of neck, well angulated shoulder, ramrod straight front. Ultra tight feet and pasterns. Elbows tucked well under ribcage. Presenting a breath-taking front on impression when on his toes. Deep brisket, super short back. Well-muscled and angulated rear quarters. When in his stride, he moves well with drive. Played his handler up a little but showed me more than enough to assess his many virtues. Pleased to award him the DCC BOB

Another top drawer brindle dog. Firmly in the running for top honours. Powerful boy with well filled head and sweeping profile. Correct ear carriage, sharp eye and perfect mouth. Round bone, strong forechest. Deep brisket, straight front and tight feet. Short back, level topline and powerful rear quarters. To be critical, would like a touch less weight and more tuck up in his underline. Moved true coming and going. Very well handled.

Long reach of neck, exceptionally powerful forechest with perfect shoulder angulation and length of upper arm. Straight front, tight feet. A substantial dog with excellent length of leg, giving good clearance from brisket to feet. Hands on, his condition is rock hard. Level topline, well tucked up underline and perfect tail set. Correctly angulated rear quarters with strong second thigh. Expertly handled, moving true to his outstanding construction, front and rear, with drive.

Quality, white, typey dog. Sweeping profile with good fill. Sharp expression, correct ear carriage, deep muzzle with strong underjaw. Correctly angulated shoulders, deep forechest, straight front. Feet slightly untidy. Level topline, ultra short back, correct tail set and well angulated rear quarters. Not the bone and substance of 1st place. Moved ok both ways when in his stride.

Very well documented, top quality brindle boy. One I have admired many times from ringside. A very well proportioned dog with a gentle smooth unbroken profile. Super filled and packed head, just not quite the depth of muzzle of the ticket winners today. Perfect bite, ears bang on top and strong underjaw. Deep forechest, straight front, tight feet, elbows well tucked under ribcage. Carried a tad more weight than I have seen him in the past, which leveled off his tuck up under the flank. Short back, level topline, powerful rear quarters and very well bent stifle. Superb mover, especially from behind. Very well schooled and handled.

Well handled, moved true coming and going.

Correct set on tail, strong hind quarters with correct bend of stifle. Very well handled, moved ok coming, close behind.

Upstanding, athletic brindle and white bitch. Gentle, smooth profile with ok fill. Ears bang on top of her head and perfect mouth. Long reach of neck, lacks a little in forechest. Straight front and tidy feet. Very up on leg and well tucked up under the flank. Correct set on of tail, long second thigh and very angulated stifle. Tends to
hold her hocks to far behind her, causing her topline to slope. Moved well. A very energetic show girl that never stopped showing herself off.

Heavyweight white girl with black ear marks. Smooth profile with ok fill. Lacks a little depth of head and ears are wide set. Good mouth, level topline, strong forechest. Could use more length of neck. Straight front and tidy feet. Deep brisket, correct tail set. Round bone and good substance on this powerful girl, just a shade long cast. Strong second thigh and well bent stifle. Moved well coming and going. In gleaming condition. Very well presented and handled.

Exceptional white bitch. "Type" being the optimum word when critiquing this girl, she screams it! Sweeping profile, lovely fill, tiny wicked eye, and when used, ears bang on top. Perfect mouth and punishing expression. Straight front, cat-like feet, well laid shoulder, long reach of neck and good forechest. Level topline with the shortest of backs flowing into correct set on of tail. Perfect bend of stifle and when settled moved well fore and aft. Her only nemesis is her indifference to showing, but when she does, she firmly ranks among my list of all time favourite bitches. Very pleased to award her BCC
