I would like to thank the committee of the North East Bull Terrier Club for inviting me to judge their November Open Show 2018. Their Shows are always well run and well attended so it was a real privilege to be asked to Judge this year’s winter event. It is clear that the club worked hard to ensure the show was a success, first rate and impeccably organised, wonderful catering and with a great entry of over 40 with 23 judged. Real quality throughout both in dogs and bitches giving some very genuine close decisions. A big thank you to my stewards on the day for their excellent coordination of the classes and exhibits, all ran very smoothly. And not least my sincere gratitude to all the exhibitors for entering under me.

1st SERENBULL SOUL ANARCHY (MRS & MISS & MISS S & K & L NISBET & KELLY & KELLY)
Power packed dog, head filled right up, ears bang on top and the most wicked of expressions.. Shoulders and front spot on, tight feet, shortest of backs, well-muscled hard condition, all in proportion with lovely angulation. This dog shouts “look at me” pushed to go further. I’m hearing he’s going abroad, where I’m sure he will make his mark to the right bitches. One to look out for as he matures!
2nd UKUSA HAYABUSA AT GROUNDWORX (MR & MISS C & N WEST & JONES)
A dog that I’ve liked for some time, big heavyweight lad and all in proportion, lovely profile with good finish, correct mouth, good reach of neck into well placed shoulders, deep chest with well sprung ribs, good upper arm length and tight feet, top line spot on and he kept it on the move, good angulation. Tough decision, I’m sure we will see more of this chap winning in the ring!

Gentle profile with good finish, good mouth, nice reach of neck into well placed shoulders, this chap’s front is his virtue… elbows tight with very well-muscled shoulders without loading… nice tight feet. Moved out well.
2nd CIVERT STOP THE CAVALRY (MRS J HEDGES)
Well-marked Tri, lots to like here, great profile and finish, well placed ears, good eye, colour and expression, good length of upper arm, tight feet. Moved out with drive. Clearly enjoying his day.

A favourite of mine with impeccable ring manners, this chaps movement is an object lesson……. Extremely well handled. Up-standing, powerful dog, gentle profile with good finish, good mouth, nice reach of neck into well placed shoulders, deepest of chests with good spring of rib, good length of upper arm, lovely tight pasterns into tight cat-like feet, shortest of backs and a good top line which held, well angulated quarters. Expect to see him winning more as he matures. BD

Liked this chap, lovely frosty front in tip top condition, good profile with plenty of finish, well place dark eye, good mouth with big white teeth, good reach of neck, strong pasterns, tight feet and good angulation. Moved out well and held his top line on the move. One to watch, just a pound or two over weight… and hope his jockey works with him

Very well marked brindle, cracking profile with width and depth, good finish, filled right up, good eye, mouth good, strong ears which were always in use… good reach of neck into well placed shoulders, good fore-chest, short coupled with good rear angulation, tight feet. Moved out well with drive both ways. Well handled. RBD

Only wish I could have had two first places for this girl! Very different to 1, terrier type white carrying Tri eye patches. Real quality throughout, gentle profile and finish, cracking ear set with a wicked expression. Mouth bang on with gleaming white teeth, nice reach with the best of fronts and shoulders, tight feet all round, short back, well developed and angulated quarters. Having fun and enjoying her day. One to watch (great to see her jockey back in the ring!)

Short coupled with lovely tuck up into well-developed thighs and the best of angulation. Held her top line on the move, moved well both ways, well handled.

A girl who is a favourite of mine, her showmanship is second to none, can’t put a foot wrong! Moves effortlessly, and returns naturally to a show pose. Lovely un-broken profile into perfect finish. Ears bang on top, perfectly upright, strong and close together. Nice reach into the best laid shoulders, tight elbows pasterns and feet, deep fore chest, the best of top lines, tucked well up, muscled and well developed thigh, angulation spot on, cat like feet. Bags of substance but Feminine throughout, Gleaming condition and taking it to the next level. A joy to go over and a pleasure to award Best Bitch and Best in show. BB BIS
