Many thanks to the Bull Terrier Club of Wales for making myself, and my family, very welcome and for giving me the opportunity to judge today's Open Show. Special thanks to the entry, although numbers were low, the quality of animals were high – dogs were strong and generally in good fit condition.

1st MIINROC ONLY THE BRAVE (MISS F MILLS)
10 months red and white dog. Good length of head, lacking a little profile, mouth correct. Well placed ears into good reach of neck, well laid shoulders and nice level top-line over good length of leg. Very immature, still needs to tighten up in all the right places, in lovely condition. Very loose on the move, certainly enjoyed his outing.

1st BOBUDDY BRONN (MR S ROFF)
14 months large white dog. Well filled, broad head, adequate profile, mouth correct. Neat ears bang on top. Short coupled with deep brisket and strong fore chest, straight front, showing lots of bone. A real heavyweight shown in good fit condition, a well muscled second thigh, although a little straight in the hinds. Moved well when he settled, powering up the mat. Shown and handled well. BD & BIS

1st POLANCA POWERSLAVE (MR & MISS T & L HOWES & SHEPPARD) 15 months, upstanding brindle and white dog. Dark and rich in colour, strong depth of head, long arching profile with good finish. Neat ears atop good reach of neck, mouth correct. A little upright in shoulder, but generally a well constructed individual. Toes in a little on the move, but covers the ground well. RBD
2nd BRONYGARN BLUES BREAKER (MR & MRS P & L WILSON)
15 months heavyweight dog, black brindle and white. Strong, broad head with gentle profile. Broad, deep fore chest, well laid shoulder into good top-line. Moved with drive although a little wide in front. Shown and handled well.
3rd CARDIFF AFTER DARK (MISS & MR L & D ADAMS & OWENS)

1st CRISALIA HELL YEAH (MR & MRS C & L J HICKS)
21 months, powerful white dog. Strong head, filled right-up, deep muzzle although a little short in length, mouth incorrect. Small eye with very keen expression. Short coupled and well balanced with good lay of shoulder. Moved well, shown in good fit condition.
2nd BRIDEN BACKCHAT (MR & MRS B & D SMALLEY)
27 months, compact white dog. Head filled right up with wicked expression, small, well set, neat ears aloft a gently arching profile. Level top-line over a well constructed body. A close run with 1st, possibly a little underweight today and not showing his best. Handled well.

10 months, very feminine red and white bitch. Gentle profile with correct mouth and well set ears. Very mature for her age, elegant reach of neck into well balanced, shapely body. Adequate bone, a little straight in the stifle, moved well both ways. Shown and handled well. BP

1st UKUSA VEGAS AT DITON (MR & MRS A J & D B MCCANN)
16 months, very feminine white bitch. Pretty head with strong profile, nice depth of muzzle with small dark eye, mouth correct. Ears a little wide set. Compact shapely body with adequate bone into very neat, tidy feet. Gleaming white and presented in lovely condition, moved well although a little ‘lack lustre’.
2nd GREENLOVE QUEEN OF HEARTS (MISS & MR M R & M DAWSON & GANNON)
17 months old, black brindle bitch. Slightly angular profile with a raised brow, nice deep muzzle with well placed ears. Good reach of neck with a good lay of shoulder, slightly long cast. Would like to see a few more pounds on. Moved well both ways.

16 months, small compact white bitch with head mark. Well filled short head with tiny eye. Small, well placed, erect ears, mouth incorrect. A little ‘stuffy’ in the neck and possibly carrying a little too much weight. Stands very square and moved well both ways. Shown and handled well.
2nd LLANWENARTH'S MUCH TO LOVE (MR & MRS N & J JAMES & JAMES)
27 months, fine white bitch, not the profile of 1st place, but none-the-less pretty to look at, mouth incorrect. Good reach into a slightly weak top-line. Moved well but lacked drive.

1st RAGNAROK DARALIS WITH POLANCA (MR & MISS T & L HOWES & SHEPPARD)
4 year old dark brindle bitch, coat harsh to the touch. Looking her 4 years, but still showing off her overwhelming virtues. Deep exaggerated profile, keen expression, mouth correct. Straight front, well made body, showing lots of bone. Level top-line over well angulated hinds, good deep brisket standing on very neat, cat-like feet. If I am being critical, she is carrying a little too much weight but this is far outweighed by her positive attributes. Moved with drive. Showed and handled well, really enjoyed her outing. Best Bitch, Reserve Best in Show and Best Opposite Sex BB

Well placed ears aloft an elegant reach of neck into a well constructed, shapely body with just enough bone. Good tail set over well angulated hinds. Looking a little ‘tucked up’ today. Covered the mat well. Shown and handled well. RBB
2nd HARDYSVIEW MISS CERBERUS FOR ELYSIANPLAIN (MR P JEROME)
5 year old white, upstanding bitch with long, gentle profile, mouth incorrect. Good length of leg with adequate bone. Moves a little wide in front and slightly loses her top-line, but and overall pleasing bitch.
