Thank you very much to the Bull Terrier Club committee, my hard working steward and of course the exhibitors both from Britain and overseas. I was humbled by this excellent quality entry.
My overall view of the dogs today was encouraging, no bad temperaments to report and few mouth faults. Although flat feet appeared quite a lot as did skin problems. Possibly due to high protein diets &/or chalk and cream being used and not removed from the coat. My hands were covered with the stuff!

White with Red brindle head markings attending his first show. As he entered the ring I saw an upstanding stallion of a dog with that wicked expression we are losing in the breed. He carries a strong head, filled and turned and this will develop more as he matures. Perfect large bite, well placed ears, smooth contours from behind the ears right down to the tail, holding a firm top line on the move. A little proud of his tail at the moment but it is set on correct. Well angulated in hind quarters and short firm hocks, he cannot move wrong. Handler was worked hard as this is one very fit and strong dog. A true champion in the making and virtues useful to the breed.BD BIS

Good make and shape, head has fill and turn, good expression and correct bite. Straight front. Elbows well tucked in. Holding a firm top line on the move. Tail set on correct. Needs attention on coat otherwise promising boy.

Nice head, perfect bite but another needing more ring craft, movement difficult to assess. Good bone and in good condition.

Red and white in it hard condition. Super head, filled and turned. Correct bite and well placed ears. Shoulders could have more lay back and he could be shorter in the loin. However his general make, shape and condition won the day.

Brindle and white. Wished this handler would get some ring craft as this is spoiling this dogs chances. He has much to offer. Lovely head, well placed ears, correct expression, elbows well tucked in on the move. Which when settled was good.

I just love this brindle and white boy. Although he needs to mature more I felt he was of a good type. With a super head filled and turned. Large perfect bite, correct expression. Well placed ears. The very best of fronts and shoulders. Short firm body and once his handler had settled down this dog had excellent movement. Strong pasterns and firm hocks.

A favourite of mine with a strong head with fill and turn. Perfect bite, would prefer better ear placement. Strong neck, good forechest, short, firm body, correct in hindquarters. Super brindle and white in colour. In excellent coat and condition. Not happy today so not giving his best or moving out as I know he can. Pity.

My notes read WOW. This white boy with head markings is so very sound and would trouble the best if exhibited in Britain. Short firm body Holding a super top line on the move reach in front from excellent shoulders and drive from strong hocks. Loved his head. Excellent bite. Brindle and white. So lovely to see the oldies out enjoying themselves. She has a lovely head, ears and expression for her age. She moved accordingly. In good coat and condition and obviously loved by her owner.

Sometimes Judges have to balance up what they are prepared to forgive for type, as I did with my Best Bitch. With this puppy bitch alas it is her bite. No hiding from it, it is not correct. But Oh how I loved her make and shape. A head to die for, Long strong filled and turned, yet feminine. Ears bang on top. Super reach of neck into perfect shoulders. Only a baby yet but held a super outline. Excellent angulation on the move, moved with reach and drive. Standing on good feet. In excellent coat and condition. I loved her and hope breed judges will overlook her bite, as I did for her true type and qualities. BPB BP

Realised later she is the litter sister to my best dog, attending her first show. This sound quality white with head markings girl was quietly handled, no fuss from her handler just let her be and her quality and type cannot be ignored. Super sweep to head, large perfect bite, well placed ears and correct expression. Held her top line on the move from good shoulders and correct angulation standing on firm feet. Quality bone I loved her. Given time will trouble the rest. RBB

Tricolour. Another lovely girl with super head, movement -not so positive as 1st better feet but held a firm top line once settled. Handler needs to work with this girl as she has many positive virtues.

Is a stunning white bitch with head markings.. She has it all for me. Today she was a little hormonal and not giving her best but I forgave her. She oozes breed type, super head, and expression. Large teeth. Firm in neck. Excellent shoulders and short firm body. Well sprung in rib and well angulated in hind quarters. Her handler was over fussing her today, I would ask him to leave her well alone, for her quality is there for all to see. I shall enjoy watching her throughout the years. BB BOS

Tricolour. Another lovely girl with super head, movement -not so positive as 1st better feet but held a firm top line once settled. Handler needs to work with this girl as she has many positive virtues.

Is a stunning white bitch with head markings.. She has it all for me. Today she was a little hormonal and not giving her best but I forgave her. She oozes breed type, super head, and expression. Large teeth. Firm in neck. Excellent shoulders and short firm body. Well sprung in rib and well angulated in hind quarters. Her handler was over fussing her today, I would ask him to leave her well alone, for her quality is there for all to see. I shall enjoy watching her throughout the years. BB BOS

White brindle head marks. Lovely head. Could have more fill but other qualities, well-placed ears. Perfect bite, correct expression, deep set eye. Firm neck, Straight front, Excellent in hindquarters, firm hocks. Quality bone. Super outline on the move, well handled.
