YBTC | Gerard COX | ND | 1st | Black brindle and white. Excellent head with very good profile. Good eye, ear set and expression. Good shoulder and correct front. Good top line. Would like more back angulation and more drive behind. |
NAT TERRIER | Les ASPIN | JD | 2nd | Good head and expression, good eye profile and bite, well boned front, sound top line, shapely quarters, put down in good order, quite promising. |
BIRM NATIONAL | Hans VAN DEN BERG | LD | 2nd | Excellent in type, needs a shorter back. Good length in head, a bit fine in muzzle. Well angulated in front and rear, active mover. |
SKC | Bill BLACKER | LD | 2nd | No Report |
NEBTC | Stephen WHEATLEY | PG | 1st | Black brindle boy. Another well balanced up standing lad. With a good profile and expression, would have preferred a bit more width of muzzle to be hyper critical. Very slight mouth fault. Good bone and front with nice feet. Good topline which he held on the move. Good angulated rear quarters, moved decent both ways never stopped showing for his more than capable handler. |
BLACKPOOL | Bill LAMBERT | LD | 1st | Very showy and statuesque smart black brindle. Tall and shapely with an excellent profile. Head is long and well-shaped but lacks strength to muzzle. Beautiful long neck. Very well made throughout with good firm topline. Moved a little close behind. |
WINDSOR | Russell LAMONBY | YD | 1st | Black brindle. Good strong head, mouth ok, keen expression. Reachy neck into good shoulders, front and feet, nice spring of rib, shapely quarters, showed and handled well. |
NPBTC | Ronnie SCOTT | PG | 1st | Quality black brindle, good head with profile, perfect mouth, lovely eye, nice neck, shoulders, topline and rear quarters, ample bone and substance, lovely feet, moved well at the front, a bit close behind, well handled and presented |
BOURNEMOUTH | Andrea NEWBERRY | OD | 3rd | Substantial black brindle and white with a sweeping profile, enough fill and a good mouth. Was distracted on the day. |
DARLINGTON | Barbara SHAW | LD | 1st | Another smart black brindle boy with again beautifully filled head with the wickedest eyes that are well set. Good length of foreface and nice depth all through. Correct mouth. Good reachy neck into well placed shoulders, short back with well set tail. Moved with drive. Lovely to see how he has matured into a powerful male. |
DRIFFIELD | Brian HILL | LD | 2nd | Black brindle and white well presented and shown, well built but short in front leg which spoils his balance, strong head with slanting eyes giving good expression, pincer bite, fairly good movement |
SWKA | Joanna Phillips | OD | 1st | Powerful upstanding black brindle and white dog. Power packed head with sweeping profile and good underjaw. Mouth Ok. Straight front, neat feet and well angulated quarters. Best dog mover, moved like a train coming and going. Prefer shorter back and can lose topline on the move. In the challenge he seemed to sink and I preferred the overall balance of my CC and res CC winner |
